I just watched a dog fight. Iyanla vs. DMX.
X refused to go down. Sadly, his triumph was also a loss, because winning and losing are about the same when you’re trying to connect with a damaged person like Earl Simmons.
of course, Iyanla and Oprah won because her ratings are probably thru the roof and, oh yea.. she looks like she got the last word on DMX. FOHWTBS.
Now, as far as I can tell Dr. Vanzant is a trained LAWYER.. which IMO explains the totally inappropriate way she approached “fixing X’s life”. One track “therapy” does not work… It’s why they created labels, and methods for dealing with each type of person in each labeled category.
And make no mistakes.. DMX does not need an “inspirational speaker and priestess”, he needs a fucking CADRE of therapists.
I was so stressed out by this farce, I wrote a damn blog post as a FB status on this shyt. I guess my alter ego will submit it as an opinion article somewhere other than FB.
