“If I’m ever killed by some officer or racist, my family members better NOT get on TV and embarrass my memory by saying “we forgive” whoever it was that killed me. That softness needs to go. People think doing that makes u the bigger person? No. It makes u weak. That’s why they keep doing it. “Well shit, u forgive us whenever we do something so why would we stop?” There’s no repercussions or consequences so why should they stop? How do u forgive someone who doesn’t even say or feel sorry? U can only forgive someone who is looking for forgiveness in the first damn place. Not one of those officers, nor this church shooter showed any kind of remorse, or gave a tearful apology to the family of those they killed. Yet every time the family says they “forgive” them.
