If you know me, you know my thoughts on religion and the bible.. but here anyway are my thoughts on “BOYCOTT that blasphemous Black Jesus Show”.
Jesus, in the bible, met people where they were. The prostitutes, the lepers, whoever.. he met them on their level. He didn’t go out there talking fancy words and vilifying them, he definitely did not come at them like preachers come at people today, holding himself above them. he taught them lessons in THIER way, in their culture, in their streets and remember that HE was considered blasphemous for doing those things.
The holy men at the time (who are MUCH like the so-called-holy men of this time) tried to convince people that he was an agent of destruction…
Is it so hard to imagine that if “Real” Jesus had to come to Compton in 2014 and die for our sins again, he would not be doing it the way “Black Jesus” (maybe less cussing but who knows) is doing it.
We’re all raised and indoctrinated on this image of holiness and godliness that was constructed to control the masses, but it is directly contrary to the way Jesus was depicted in the bible.
All i’m saying is if you wanna boycott the show, examine the REAL reason it offends you so, because last time i checked Jesus on SouthPark was doing some crazy shyt, and God on FB on twitter is killing us with the humor, but they seem to have less panties in a bunch about it.
