Moment of “real talk” for my family and friends to whom this actually matters: If I went to the library and picked up 66 books about vampires and decided to live my life based on their teachings, y’all would waste no time having my ass committed. Why then should you be offended that I refuse to accept 66 highly edited, badly translated and (in the very roman way) plagiarized books written in a time and adopted by a society that would not recognize me (black/indigenous, female, polyamorous, bisexual) as a valid/valued human being??
