Something interesting I recently learned: the wording of the 13th amendment abolished slavery EXCEPT as punishment for a crime. Corporations own prisons and are traded on the stock exchange??? People are incarcerated for failing to pay child support, but are not even paid minimum wage in prison. Wonder why they are handcuffing kids in school and calling cops instead of parents??
